I see a line item on my quote for “Plate and Die” charges?

The printing of your label requires “plates and dies”. A “plate” is either a rubber, metal or paper material, which is made for each color that will be printed on your label. These are “one-time” charges, which occur the first time your order a label or when there is a change in the label. A die is a metal tool that cuts out the shape and size of your label. We have hundreds of different dies but occasionally we do not have the specific shape and size that your label requires, so a die will be need to be ordered. This would also be a “one-time” charge. Your customer service or sales representative will discuss all of this with you during the ordering process.
